He never fought a battle he couldn't win--except the conflict raging within his own soul. An ex-Green Beret haunted by memories of Vietnam, he was once the perfect killing machine. Now he's searching for peace, but finds instead an over-zealous, small-town sheriff who's spoiling for a fight. All hell breaks loose when a unjustly imprisoned Rambo escapes and becomes the target of a massive manhunt. Now he must use all his cunnings, combat skills and weapons training to stay alive and outwit his pursuers.

RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD - 4.5 out of 5 (6/26/2001)
The first topnotch top of the line American kick ass action movies stemming from the eighties, RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD.
A gripping story where a repressed and disoriented Vietnam Veteran returns to his homeland to be snubbed and treated like a common criminal. While he drifts around searching for old buddies, and for food he is captured by the local small town sheriff and told to leave. When he does not comply he is falsely arrested for vagrancy and thrown in the small town lockup.

Good Movie revamped for DVD! - 4.5 out of 5 (7/30/1999)
Sylvester Stallone makes one of the best action films of all times. The supporting cast is great and it is neat to see how many supporting actors in this movie actually went on to have very successful careers. Everyone knows the story and either you like these type of action movies or you don't but I will say that this one stands out among most others.
The DVD is very good compared to my VHS copy. The image is very clear and the skin tones of the actors look very good. I will admit that

This DVD may not be Perfect but it is far superior to its VHS counterpart! - 4.75 out of 5 (4/20/1999)
First of all let me say that First Blood is one of my favorite movies of all times. This movie launched Sylvester Stallone's career even though he probably didn't have ten lines in the whole film. I must say though, what lines Stallone does have, he does well. I'll never get the famous line "They drew first blood, not me!" out of my head. There is only one Rambo - 4 out of 5 (1/16/1999)
The first one is the only one. Forget about the two facist sequels. This one is really a good film. And not only for action fans. It has a story and a very clever one actually. But don't buy it for the so-called documentary. It's just a long trailer.
