Brian DePalma is having several good months on DVD. In the past few months
we have seen OBSESSION, Next week, we will see CARRIE, DRESSED TO KILL and
BLOW OUT and shortly after that we will see THE PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE and
THE FURY.
Call him what you will, be it genius or hack artist, DePalma has given
something to the Hollywood industry and PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE is the
strangest example of it.

based on the phantom of the opera, this great rock musical is an excellent movie to watch. director- brian de palma( the untouchables), really out does himself in this wacky, fun, weird, and fascinating look at the phantom of the opera rock style. great movie !!! highly recommended !

Best modern musicals of all time. (So far) - 3 out of 5 (11/6/2001)
One of the best modern musicals of all time. It faded into obscurity after
it was a double feature with The Rocky Horror Picture Show back in the 70's.
No-one I know has ever heard of it here in Australia. I hope it is available on
DVD.
