Customer Review Terrific film gets fair DVD-treatment... - 3.5 out of 5  (8/9/2000) I LOVE THIS FILM! There, I've said it... but I think it stands out as one of the best WWII-films ever. And you don't get to see Connery, Redford, Hackman etc.etc. in the same movie very often. It's - simply put - a masterpiece, taking its time to show us how futile war is, and how a few "desk-generals" make hasty and stupid decisions that will effect all the men fighting the battles; more interesting though, is how this movie also gives us more than one-dimensional Germans... a rare treat.
