Changing Your Identity Can Be Deadly
Jeff Goldblum and Anne Heche star in this riveting tale about murder, betrayal and stolen identity. When convict Auggie Rose is murdered on his first day out of prison, John Nolan (Goldblum) abandons his life to take on the dead man's identity. Beyond Suspicion is one of those new type of films, created for cable and then released on video. While many of these films tend to exploitation this film presents good drama albeit set against an incredulous premise. John (Jeff Goldblum) is a successful insurance salesman. He stops into a store for an upscale bottle of wine. Noticing a flaw on the label he demands another bottle. Beyond a good film - 4 out of 5 (7/16/2001)
It's hard to figure why a film like BEYOND SUSPICION didn't get more
attention in the theaters. The film has a top-notch cast in Jeff Goldblum,
Anne Heche and Nancy Travis. It also has all the critical backing necessary
to make a decent run and most of all; it is a very good film. The twisted
plot makes for some great suspense and it all leads up to a surprise ending
that seems to come out of left field, although it does seem satisfactory.

Brilliant concept that delivers - 3.5 out of 5 (3/14/2002)
Up front I need to say I am a fan of both Jeff Goldblum and Anne Heche. That is why I watched the movie in the first place. The movie has a great concept (which I won't go into) and I was literally on the edge of my seat wondering how the movie was going to unfold. Jeff and Anne were both wonderful in their roles.
