The space family Robinson in back in this 1997 remake. William Hurt and Mimi Rogers star as Professor John and Dr. Maureen Robinson, who set off with their family on a mission to find a new planet for the population of a polluted Earth to move to. Gary Oldman takes over the role as the evil Dr. Smith. Look for cameos from the original cast, including Dick Tuckfeld. Who's that you ask? A hint: "Danger, Danger Will Robinson!"

jason97@bit-net.com - 4.6875 out of 5 (11/30/1998)
The Movie:
The year is 2058, and the earth's once abundant natural resources are rapidly depleating. A new world, Alpha Prime, must be colonized and the human race is counting on one family, the Robinson family, to save them. But when something goes very wrong can they survive and accomplish their goal?
Based on the popular television show of the same name Lost In Space delivers a fairly strong performance and definately shines as a quality family film. Kids will love this movi

Just for special effects..... - 3.75 out of 5 (2/23/2000)
I gave this film 2 only because of great and wonderful sound effects. They are astounding but they cant save the film's poorly written dialogue, script and plot.
Film is terrible that you will watch only once maybe you wont wait till it ends.Robinsons is a family but they do not act like one. This movie is to watch if you have nothing else to do...
Dvd itself is awesome with some great extras.
Good dvd but a bad dvd we have in our hands guys!!
