I treally liked Alien, I mean Leviathan! - 4.25 out of 5 (3/20/2000)
I was watching a commercial on the Sci-fi network for "Leviathan." They billed it as the best of the "Alien" rip-offs.
They act like this is a bad thing.
Sure, it may not be so nice, but it is a common practice in Hollywood. They took the same premise, populated it with the same cast. They got alot of the creative people to return for the film. Stan Winston did the FX for this and "Alien." Jerry Goldmsith did the musical score for both films and Ron Cobb did the production d

The Best Underwater Film! - 4.25 out of 5 (11/4/2001)
George P.Cosmatos is one of Hollywood's few good directors. His films are solid entertainment of the B Movie kind. A Cosmatos commentary would have been nice, but I am not complaining.

A fun underwater romp. - 3.25 out of 5 (4/2/1999)

The plot is OK but there are cliches and basically just some really stupid people ! Although you do get to the stage of cursing the said people under your breath for being so silly, it doesn't take away from the movie.
The video is crisp and audio is good, despite being only DD2.0. Some of the effects are excellent, particularly the underwater sequences.
The only thing wrong with the dis

Underwater Alien Clone. - 3.75 out of 5 (10/14/1998)
Not much else needs to be said, obviously it is inferior but it is still entertaining. The build up is very good and the actors all are convincing as are the underwater effects. The problem lies with the creature, in that it is not very scary.
I still enjoyed this movie and with the DVD picture and sound being so good I will enjoy it again. The movie is in widescreen but the sound is surround sound only, although it is a very effect mix.
