I have nightmares about my prom too! - 4 out of 5 (8/22/2000)
In a conversation the other night, a friend and I were talking about the
best horror movies of all time. As you can imagine; the usual names came
up but he was surprised when I mentioned that "Carrie" was one of my all
time favorites.
It shouldn't have come as a surprise. If you think about it, the
film was based on a novel by Stephen King which was turned into a script
by Lawrence D. Cohen which was then directed by Brian De Palma. Lineage
like that is bound to make a good film.

it was just a wonderful movie with nancy allen,
amy irving, sissy spacek, betty buckley. It is
considered a horror classic.

Horror And Sci Fi Awards - 4 out of 5 (7/30/2000)
Carrie gets four stars out of five. The film is
unique, and impressive for it's time, and the
sequel is pretty good too. The features are put
together pretty good, and the audio and vedio are
excellent.

Carrie has less than it deserves - 3 out of 5 (5/8/1999)
As a classic film, the features on this one are dissapointing. The story, of course, is one of the better films de creepiness. The transfer aspects are mediocre.
Though my rating of this DVD is fairly poor, DVD is a hell of a lot better than owning it on VHS. The difference in audio and video is worth it. In the end, that's what it's all about any way.
IF YOU LIKED: The Shining
RE-WATCHABILITY: Quarterly.
FINAL WORD: A great film, a rental for most, a Must-Have for the collector.
