Empire Review Hush (1998) - 4.25 out of 5  (12/17/1998) The Movie: Although Hush wasn't a huge success at the box office that doesn't mean it isn't a great thriller just waiting to be found. Hush, starring Jessica Lange and Gwyneth Paltrow, is a suspenseful, intricate thriller about a mother-in-laws controlling and obsessive ways. The movie succeeds at all levels with a great story, great acting, and the level of suspense that the viewer feels. This movie was pretty much ignored in the theaters but is definitely worth a look for thril   more >> Customer Review dont tell me to hush about what i thought - 1 out of 5  (3/29/1999) i thought the movie was the worst i ever thought. the trailer was better then the movie.when i bought it i thought i got a better deal. but luckly i was able to return it.the audio was bas to.so if you are thinking about getting this dont get it. rent it first.the plot was bery dumb. they wasted alot of hot new stars. this movie gave them a bad reputation. i hated the goodes. if i had to keep it alls i would watch is the trailer.   more >> Customer Review Not Bad, Not Great... What's with the trailer though? - 3 out of 5  (9/16/1998) This movie wasn't bad, if you can get over Jessica Lange over doing it a little! It actually was an edge of your seat thriller at times. Here is my problem with the movie though. Watch the movie before you watch the theatrical trailer on the DVD. When you watch the trailer you'll notice that the were many scenes in it that were not in the film. Scenes which looked like a totally different movie... a movie with more action!
