Empire Review Skip this film - 2.25 out of 5  (4/30/2001) Author V.C. Andrews is credited with writing over 75 novels but the real mystery is how she still manages to get on the best-seller chart even after passing away in 1984. I bring up this question because my wife and myself both watched FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC and this was perhaps the most fascinating thing about the movie.
