A voyeuristic coming-of-age comedy.
It's 1955 and curious 14-year-old Bronx kid Lenny has a mission for the summer: to witness two adults in the midst of an "act of love." When his mother sends him to Queens to stay with his pregnant aunt and uncle, Lenny thinks his plan is doomed, until he meets his gorgeous adult neighbor Heyd and looks up with some like-minded neighborhood kids. Soon, Lenny is learning more than he ever expected about life, love and growing up.
Just Looking is a sweet and hilarious coming-of-age comedy directed by Jason Alexander (TV's Seinfeld), with touching performances from Gretchen Mol (The Thirteenth Floor, Sweet and Lowdown), Patti Lupone (Summer of Sam, Driving Miss Daisy) and Ryan Merriman (The Deep End of the Ocean).

Just Looking...somehow overlooked. - 3.25 out of 5 (6/15/2001)
As you casually glance over the available DVD's out there you may pass this one over, if not for the somewhat immature, run-of-the-mill, cover. Yes, this easily could be mistaken as yet another coming of age movie about sex, and mischief. Well, you'd be partially right on that, at least in premise, however, this film is well worth watching, and enchanting enough to add to your collection.
Just Looking, follows the "quest" of a 14yr. old kid from the Bronx trying to catch a glimpse of two peop
