A three bladed sword? - 3.5 out of 5 (4/16/2001)
THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER is one of those films that fell into genre legend
because of the tagline at the end of the film, which read that Talon's next
adventures would be coming soon. To my knowledge, this event never occurred
and the adventures of Talon ended with this film.
Which is really a shame, however that shouldn't distract you from wanting
to see one of the strangest combinations of swords, sorcery, lust,
adventure, loyalty and comedy ever put on film. It would take three tho

The REAL Dungeons & Dragons movie - 3.25 out of 5 (10/30/2001)
First, let me say that this movie is pure cheese! But it's good-cheese! It is a bawdy sword and sorcery piece that will have you going mad if you try to look at it 'logically' ("But HOW can a sword shoot it's blade out like that?!?")
If you are a fan of good low-budget action and camp, this is a true winner. Heck - for those of us dissapointed by the ATROCIOUS Dungeons & Dragons movie, this is a great substitute. Just keep in mind that it was made in the days before cheap computer effects. Al

It's campy and dated but a true fantasy classic. Not as good as Conan but better than Krull.
