They trained body and mind for America's leap into space. When the moment came, the brash flyboys of Team Daedalus were replaced. Now, 40 years later, another moment has come. And this time, it's all theirs.
Directing for the 22nd time and starring for the 42nd, Clint Eastwood leads a stellar cast into orbit in this exhilarating high-tech adventure. Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland and James Garner join him as old-school test pilots whose grasp of outdated technology makes them the only ones able to repair a primitive, deorbiting Russian satellite that imperils Earth. Strap in for "some of the rightest stuff around" (The Wall Street Journal). With an irresistible payload of heart, humor and heroics, Space Cowboys is all-systems-go.

I Wanna Be A Space Cowboy! - 4.25 out of 5 (4/8/2001)
Unlike many of his Hollywood colleagues, Clint Eastwood seems to have embraced the fact that he is not as young as he used to be, and has used it as a driving theme in many of his successful films in the past few years. In Unforgiven, he told the tale of an old gunslinger out for one last adventure. In The Line of Fire presented Eastwood as an aging Secret Service agent trying to redeem himself for the mistakes of his youth. Now, Space Cowboys gives him another chance to

Terribly boring. A waste of great acting talent. - 2.75 out of 5 (7/23/2001)
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who can see how boring this movie is. Tedious dialogue, a cliche-ridden plot that goes nowhere for what seems like an eternity, and a really sappy ending. If this movie were an hour shorter and had the dialogue touched up, it could have been much better. But as it is, it's very boring and I cannot recommend it.
This movie is really bad.

This movie is VERY bad.......oh, and the disc is pretty good - 3.5 out of 5 (7/18/2001)
I had high hopes for this movie, although I didn't know much about it beforehand. It has a GREAT cast of talented actors, and for all we knew was about "space flight". By the end of the second act, we both agreed that this was turning in to one of the worst, most boring movies we had seen in years. From there on, it got both better and worse, speeding up the pace but ultimately hurting what was already a tedious movie.
Oh where to start. It's hard to decide, since I cannot think of one thing

THIS IS THE ONE TO HAVE ! - 4.25 out of 5 (5/27/2001)
This move rocks, it has good humor, a good story good acting and fantastic SFX. Consider this one as a REALISTIC version of "ARMAGEDDON" packed with some extra humor.
The Picture qualaty is as good as the one in Gladiator and the same goes for the sound.
For a fun action flick, buy this one!
