Finally…a man isilistening.
Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt light up the screen in this winning romantic comedy about a man who thinks he's God's gift to women -- until he hears what they're really thinking.
Gibson plays Nick Marshall, a swinging bachelor scaling the corporate ladder of one of Chicago's hottest ad agencies. But Nick's fast-track success is derailed when the agency overlooks him and hires beautiful Darcy McGuire (Helen Hunt) as the new creative director. As Nick's prospects begin to dim, he is jolted by a freak accident that leaves him with an extraordinary ability: he can hear what women think -- and want!
Using his newfound gift to his advantage, Nick schemes to undermine Darcy by listening to her thoughts and stealing her ideas until something happens that he didn't account for -- he hears his own inner voice...and realizes he's in love. Co-starring Marisa Tomei, What Women Want is "a laugh-out-loud celebration of the sexes."

This is one you want! - 4.25 out of 5 (4/30/2001)
WHAT WOMEN WANT was one of last year's big surprises. The film was an
old-fashioned love story combined with a newfangled twist that came out and
caught everybody by surprise. Mel Gibson proves that he is also a master at
comedy as well as serious drama and all-out action.
In the film, he plays Nick Marshall, a detestable cad of a man who is the
best at the advertising game in the old world. The problem is the new world
has nothing to do with Swedish bikini teams or bottles of gin sugge

No chemistry - 2.75 out of 5 (6/13/2001)
There was no chemistry between Helen Hunt and Mel Gibson. Gibson overacted and Hunt acted as though she didn't really want to be there. Normally I enjoy both of the actors but together there was nothing. I'm glad I waited until this thing came out on DVD before I saw it. At least I can return it.

A really funny movie. - 3.25 out of 5 (5/17/2001)
My son told me about the new Mel Gibson film, "What Women Want" he was flying from the UK and it was one of the movies shonw on the flight, he said he couldn't stop laughing, so taking his advice I found myself in the middle of a cinema, I also couldn't stop laughing out loud,
I couldn't help it, Mel Gibson was so funny in the bathroom scene.
I have to get this film on DVD as it's definately one to keep.
