Empire Review Skip this vacation - 2.75 out of 5  (4/9/2001) If you were reading my other reviews (and I highly doubt that) you might have noticed how I said I didn't understand why films are still sitting in the can while others are released. SUMMER RENTAL really forces this point home, because while the film is amusing, it certainly doesn't qualify as a masterpiece.
