He's gotia secret weapon withia lot of kick.
The action legend himself -- Jackie Chan (Shanghai Noon, Rush Hour) -- explodes across the screen in a power-packed adventure that critics agree captures some of the most incredible action stunts ever! When the British government is discovered smuggling precious Chinese artifacts out of the country, folklore hero Wong Fei Hong (Chan) uses his uniquely outlandish style of martial arts...Drunken Boxing...to fight the conspirators and salvage the valuables before it's too late! And the more Hong drinks, the more agile he becomes -- able to fend off numerous attacks with unbelievable moves! With Chinese treasures and family pride on the line, Hong steps up to every challenge in this fun and unstoppable entertaining hit!

Chan time again - 4.75 out of 5 (3/8/2001)
"The Legend of the Drunken Tiger" gives us proof positive why Jackie Chan is one of the greatest actors in the world!

Chan credits this film with making him an international superstar, however he was never satisfied with the original product. The irony is that the finished product in the original is five times more entertaining than most of the product we see nowadays. Chan plays Fei Hung, one of the original 10

It's Great, But Only If You Forget One Thing... - 3.75 out of 5 (5/8/2001)
This is the way Hong Kong action movies were meant to be seen: clean, crisp transfers allowing for fast action and naturally in widescreen format. This is Chan's landmark film, and its a shame he didn't provide a commentary track a la Shanghai Noon or Gorgeous, but perhaps he was busy with Rush Hour 2 and Accidental Spy.
The sound is great, BUT there is no original language track! English and French are provided, as well as subtitles, but no Chinese track? For shame! At least Chan does hi

Jackie's best movie to date - 3.5 out of 5 (5/4/2001)
Forget Rush Hour: this movie is where you'll see the master's moves. I gave the film a high rating, even though the plot is largely irrelevant, because Jackie Chan performs some amazingly acrobatic, combatative moves. And let's be honest: the concept of a folk hero who's fighting improves as his consumption of alcohol increases is one that has been too long coming!
