"Two Big Thumbs Up For The Powerful Epic!" -Ebert & Roeper anditheiMovies
It's the high-stakes, high-risk world of the drug trade as seen through a well-blended mix of interrelated stories: a Mexican policeman (Benicio Del Toro) finds himself and his partner caught in an often deadly web of corruption; a pair of DEA agents (Dona Cheadle and Luis Guzman) work undercover in a sordid and dangerous part of San Diego; a wealthy drug baron living in upscale, suburban America is arrested and learns how quickly his unknowing and pampered wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) takes over his business; and the U.S. President's new drug czar (Michael Douglas) must deal with his increasingly drug-addicted teenage daughter.

Traffic Tells It How It Is - 4.25 out of 5 (8/16/2001)
It doesn't matter who you are, where you live, what
your background or socioeconomic group is,you will either have experienced or know others who have used illicit drugs. This film should be required viewing for all parents, kids, whoever. The first time I saw it there was too much to take
in,so I saw it again. Amazing. Mind blowing. The scene where the drug lord shows the Catherine Zeta Jones character the boxes carrying white coloured dolls, innocent enough except they were made of rock hard coca

aptly titled, because after over two hours, you feel like you’ve been sitting in a traffic jam - 2.5 out of 5 (8/1/2001)
The first impression you get of this film whilst your paying your hard earned £2 to the video store owner and leaving an untold
amount of films left on the shelves that you haven't seen and were not too desperate to see, is that it is going to be a film that is
different, well acted, maybe not be your cup of tea, but I'll give it a go because the impressive cast list calls for me to give it go,
plus, it's been acclaimed and recognized by the Academy Awards, so it has to be a good film, right,
