Stunning - 3.25 out of 5 (5/20/1999)
This is considered by most as one of the greatest films ever made. This films plot is great and the visuals are stunning for its time. A technological dream. Some people may loose interest in it though, but not me.
The video quality on this disc could be a lot better. There are some nice little features, though.
One for a library of collectors.

My most cherished DVD - 5 out of 5 (3/9/1999)
There is no other visual experience like this one. The recently deceased Stanley Kubrick has created a film chalk full of philosophical and allegorical content while leaving the ultimate meaning to the viewer. Whereas directors of other science fiction films construct an film a subjective universe to them, Kubrick has constructed an experience which is unique to the viewer and leaves it for them to interpret the results. Bigger is better - 3.25 out of 5 (2/15/1999)
Still looks state-of-the-art but I can only assume that MGM are awaiting the eponymous year to put out a 16x9 enhanced version. Rumour has it that Kurbick is restoring the film frame by frame.
Let's hope so for this is one film that deserves the full treatment.
