Good movie... - 3.5 out of 5 (10/30/2001)
The movie is very good, altough I prefer the second one, (is more funny and "recent" in comparison to this one).
Anyway, everyone that knows the movie will like it. Some, for the cute Gizmo is, and the others, for how funny the Gremlins are.
The movie itself is good, and as for the dvd? Well, the best feature it has is the audio. The transfer, I guess is the best it could be done (the movie it's old) and the features, can trailers count as them?

F**k the Critters, f**k the Goulies! GREMLINS is the ORIGINAL! - 2.75 out of 5 (8/28/2000)
Yup, nothing more to say about that!
This DVD is a genuine classic. It has a kind of
magic to it only seen in 80s movies. No CG, no digital compositing, and it still works for me!
Disregarding an occational dropout in the sound
and the pooooor so called extra features, AND the fact that Warner Bros are so CHEAP that they persist in using crummy SNAP CASES (cardboard), this DVD is a treasure!

GREAT MOVIE - GREAT EXPECTATIONS - 3 out of 5 (8/10/2000)
Last few months we are witnesses of big number of re-releases on DVD. There are classic movies such as STAND BY ME or GHOSTBUSTERS which are now available in Special (or Collectors) edition. Unfortunately, GREMLINS is not one of them. I wonder what people in WARNER BROS are thinking about when the're making a DVD. Scene acces, theatrical trailers and language selection are not SPECIAL FEATURES as we can read on almost every cover box from WARNER's movies. Such great and funny film simply must be
