The 21st century's most dangerous cop; The 21st century's most dangerous criminal
In 2032 archcriminal Simon Phoenix (Snipes) awakens from a 35-year deep freeze in CryoPrison to find a serene, nonviolent Los Angeles ready for the taking. Unable to deal with Phoenix's brutal 1990's style, officials seek an old-fashioned cop to fight old-fashioned crime. They revive Sgt. John Spartan (Stallone), unjustly serving a CryoPrison sentence because of his last encounter with Pheonix.

DEMOLITION MAN - 4 out of 5 (8/18/2001)

"Don't mess around with the Demolition Man"...... - 4.5 out of 5 (1/27/1999)
Being one of Warner's first DVD releases, Demolition Man really impressed me. I especially liked the Joel Silver/Marco Bambrilla commentary. I've always wanted to hear Silver comment on one of his action films. This is one of Stallone's best action movies. His 2nd best, I think, in between Cliffhanger and Judge Dredd.
Nice picture and auido quality. The visual effects really shine in this transfer. Warner's does a very impressive job with almost all of their releases.

Aside from some jitter, a nice DVD. - 3.5 out of 5 (6/26/1998)
I was pleased to find this older title on DVD. I found the audio exceptional, the features par for the course (with the added bonus of filmmaker commentary), but had some complaints on video quality. The widescreen version started out with some noticeable jitter on my usually jitter-free player. It cleared up quickly, and thus was forgivable, but in a perfect world there wouldn't have been any jitter at all. The pan & scan side of the disc was even more plagued by jitter, and was not terribly cr
