DEATH ON THE NILE - 2.5 out of 5 (5/15/2001)
Following the departure of Albert Finney, Peter Ustinov took over the role of Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot in this big-budget adaptation of her 1937 book DEATH ON THE NILE. The film of the same title is said to be a favorite of the "Poirot travels" stories and later became the stage play "Murder On The Nile" in 1946.
The film finds Poirot on vacation, meeting up with an old friend (David Niven of the original 1964 PINK PANTHER and the hysterical feature film version of Neil Simon's MURDE
