Jewel in the crown! - 3.75 out of 5 (1/29/2001)
"Black Moon Rising" was a movie written by John Carpenter. It's a little
known fact because this film faded into obscurity with the death of New
World pictures but this offbeat film is one of the jewels in their crown.
Anchor Bay apparently knew about this and decided to release this film onto
DVD with a digitally remastered version with a New Dolby 5.1 soundtrack. The
difference can be seen almost immediately as the colors are clearer than
they have ever been.
