SMILLA'S SENSE OF SNOW - 3.5 out of 5 (4/26/2001)
In bad action thrillers, the lead hero searches for some "truth" they will not give up on, then are shocked to learn that their quest leads them to something bigger that will give them a chance to save the world. SMILLA'S SENSE OF SNOW twists that scenario around a bit, without failing to be the kind of smart thriller we do not see often enough.
Based on Peter Hoeg's novel, the title character (Julia Ormond in a strong, clever lead performance) is a woman who loves to hike around in the snow

Great Thriller... - 3 out of 5 (3/31/2001)
If you like the odd mystery/thriller, that is not of the normal run, this is for you. This is a real surprise, and definatly worth picking up.
