Empire Review SMILLA'S SENSE OF SNOW - 3.5 out of 5  (4/26/2001) In bad action thrillers, the lead hero searches for some "truth" they will not give up on, then are shocked to learn that their quest leads them to something bigger that will give them a chance to save the world. SMILLA'S SENSE OF SNOW twists that scenario around a bit, without failing to be the kind of smart thriller we do not see often enough.
