Synopsis
Not All Aliens Come From Space. Save Your Last Breath…To Scream.

Far below the surface of the unforgiving sea, the daring crew of DeepStar Six are explorers in a forbidding world of impenetrable darkness and unimaginable pressure. They have invaded the icy fathoms into which no human has ever ventured. Their mission is to establish a top secret Navy base on the ocean floor. But something's down there and the crew of DeepStar Six are about to make a startling discovery - there's no escape from the terror of the deep. Director Sean Cunningham (Friday the 13th, House) has created a new horror that will plunge you into the depths of fear. Better hold your last breath...to scream.

Beneath the waves - 3.5 out of 5  (2/19/2001)
Captain Laidlaw: You have no idea what we are dealing with out there! Scarpelli: That's why you have to let me go out there! 1989 was the year for testing the waters! Tired of outer space, Producers decided to dive in and explore the terrors of inner space. "Leviathan" was first and it floated fairly well. The script was original at that point and it held water. "The Abyss" was the next to take the plunge and it's early box office figures left the studios thinking the entire genre was a   more >>

Don't Try This at Home - 3.25 out of 5  (2/3/2004)
Deep Star Six is possibly the most underrated sci-fi movie ever made. It gives new meaning to the word "disaster." Although very similar to staples in the genre like Alien, Predator and Leviathan, this movie has the stigma of being unintentionally hillarious. A team of underwater workers accidentally blow open a deep sea bottomless cavern, releasing a gargantuan creature of unspeakable horror. In return, the monster (which is attracted to bright lights) eats the crew one by one. The star of Deep   more >>
