Nice guys don't get mad. They get even.
Jackie Chan is a celebrity chef turned reluctant hero after he rescues a pretty journalist from the clutches of a ruthless drug lord. At stake is an incriminating videotape that has accidentally fallen into Jackie's hands. With the gang in hot pursuit, the action stretches from one spectacular, stunt-filled scene to another. When Jackie's girlfriend is kidnapped and his apartment blown up, this mild-mannered chef cooks up his own recipe for justice. The mob will never know what hit them, because Jackie's back with a vengeance to strike a blow for good guys everywhere.

Great Film, Great Disc! - 4.25 out of 5 (2/4/2001)
Yes this is a Hong Kong film, but with all the Australian locales/actors its primarily English originally anyway, so the ADR dubbing (when it exists) isn't bad at all. That said, the film is great, though I can't really put my finger on why I loved it so much.
The features are great, but what really got me was the "My Scene In" features showing the first supermarket fight from Rumble In The Bronx, the car-chase down the hill in Police Story and the ladder fight from First Strike. KICK ASS b

BRUCE LEE, ...WHERE ARE YOU? - 2.75 out of 5 (1/2/1999)
IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM INSOMNIA, YOU CAN THROW AWAY YOUR SLEEPING PILLS BECAUSE, YES, MR. CHAN IS BACK. I WOULD LOVE TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE PLOT, BUT FRANKLY, I CAN'T (OR I DON'T WANT TO) REMEMBER WHAT ALL THIS SILLY MOVIE WAS ABOUT. ALL I CAN SAY IS, IF YOU WANT TO SEE HOW THIS KIND OF FILM IS DONE PROPERLY, RENT "ENTER THE DRAGON" INSTEAD.

Another Chan Crowd Pleaser..... - 4 out of 5 (10/19/1998)
"Mr. Nice Guy" is Jackie Chan's latest attempt to entertain american audiences and as always, he doesn't fail. While not as remarkable as "Supercop", "Rumble in the Bronx", this film is still living proof that Jackie Chan is still the #1 action star living today.
Nice video transfer; Chan's films have to be seen in widescreen to increase the enjoyment. The audio was okay but could've been better. Overall, a must have for action lovers and all Chan fans.
