Customer Review first half of movie shines - 3 out of 5  (11/14/2002) enjoyed the first half of the movie. As always Ms. Kidaman's performance is worthy. her portrayal as a Russian mail order bride was very convincing, as were her co-stars who played Russians (actually French actors). About halfway through the film the story starts to lose it's focus and slowly decends into a ridiculous farce. I really found it annoying when the characters are speaking Russian and there are no subtitles! You don't know what the hell they're talking about.
