All too often this results in a mélange of styles and format that does little more than annoy the audience. Fortunately, there are some moviemakers that have achieved success in this endeavor. Then I see this movie, The Brotherhood of the Wolf, and was amazed. The dialect, the costums and the special effects were by far the best I have seen in a movie this year! The cast was superb and the acting was awesome. I give this movie a 5 because it kept my attention throughout the movie. The Beast was very realistic and, at some parts, totally freaked me out! A diamond in the rough, for sure. Foreign films usually suck, but this one will blow your mind. Plot, acting, action, and effects are all unmatched by recent films, with a climax that doesn't allow you to breathe for at least 1/2 an hour.
