This is how all movies should be done - 5 out of 5 (4/22/2003)
I love the fact they put an additional half and hour back into the movie where it belongs and not in some special deleted scenes area. I wish more companies would do that. Movies is great. This is a must own.

I could have been a contender - 3.75 out of 5 (3/27/2003)
Very good adaptation of extremely difficult material.
The major problem is when the movie strays unnecessarily from the original material, changing nuances in the process, for instance when Pippin dropped a pebble in the well in the book, an intentional act, to accidentally knocking a chain into the well.
