HOCUS POCUS is a 1993 Kenny Ortega dark comedy set in Salem Massachusetts in the 17th Century; about three witches - Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), Winifred "Winnie" (Bette Midler), and Mary (Kathy Najimy) conjure up a sinister plan for youthful immortality that involves sucking the life out of the kids in the town. My whole family watched this movie multiple times when it was released. It has a good story, and the actors/actress in it are talented. It's a good movie to let the kids watch around Halloween when they are begging to watch "scary movies".

Hocus Pocus is a great choice for a Family movie for the Halloween Holiday. It has become a movie traditional for me; Halloween is just not the same unless I watch Hocus Pocus. Kids will love it, and its hilarious. Adults who like Halloween, Comedy, History and music will find it exceptionally enjoyable as well. This movie has some of the greatest background scary/halloween music, and features musical selections from Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker, and they can sing. Have a Happy Hal
