Empire Review Let's hear it for the kid! - 4.25 out of 5  (1/22/2001) "The Kid" is one of those films that should be given out like a prescription. It's one of those movies with a little heart, a lot of humor and some great performances. All in all, just the right kind of film for a Sunday afternoon with no football and four inches of snow coming down. Disney also knows that this type of film will be a hit because Bruce Willis is the main ingredient.
