The Mother Of All Vampires
It's her time. Her place. The wickedly regal Mother of All Vampires is ready again to rule! Aaliyah plays the title role in this sylish shocker based on Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. Stuart Townsend portrays Lestat, the undead antihero previously seen in the movie version of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire. This time, Lestat finds acceptance in a tattooed and pierced world. He's a rock star. And his intoxicating Goth-riffed sound rekindles the desires of all-powerful Akasha.

Loved the movie but it was too short - 4.75 out of 5 (3/11/2003)
I missed seeing this movie in the theaters and I'm glad I did. My friends who did see it didn't like so when I finally saw it on cable I knew what the problem was. This movie was so over edited that I'm surprised there was any movie left. There was so much great material that was left out that I felt it cheated the audience. I feel that's the reason people didn't like it. There wasn't enough to left to like or just enough to whet your appetite for more. Material by Anne Rice has so much substanc

Okay movie - 4.25 out of 5 (10/30/2002)
I was kind of disappointed by this movie when I first saw it in the theater. I'm a big Anne Rice fan. I have six of the Vampire Chronicles books. First off, this movie should have been called The Vampire Lestat because that is where 90% of this movie comes from. They took things from the book and changed them somewhat. For example, the concert was in San Francisco, not Death Valley. It was the little things like this that made the movie not that enjoyable. When all was said and don

One of the worst movies ever - 2.5 out of 5 (9/26/2002)
If someone thought that was the BEST vampire movie every...I'd hate to see the worst because I dont think anything could be worse than this movie. The plot itself was rediculous. A vampire comes back and joins a rock band and then throw in Aaliyah just to put her in a movie....omg, this movie was just plain terrible..but this is my opinion only.
