Pray For Daylight
In the dusty heart of the American southwest, innocent country boy Caleb Colton (Adrian Pasdar of Mysterious Ways) is seduced by a beautiful girl (Jenny Wright) into joining a roving pack of vicious drifters led by the enigmatic Jesse (Lance Henriksen of The Terminator and Aliens). But this is no ordinary band of outlaws; Caleb is now trapped in a nightmare of soulless evil that waits in the shadows, hellish mayhem that thrives on blood and absolute horror that begins Near Dark.
Bill Paxton (Twister) and Jenette Goldstein (Aliens) co-star in this extraordinary shocker co-written and directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Strange Days) that Entertainment Weekly calls "ultrastylish, ultraviolent and altogether brilliant." This is more than simply the most ferociously original vampire movie of our generation; Near Dark is one of the best horror movies of all time.

magnificent - 5 out of 5 (9/9/2002)
NEAR DARK has been described as a thinking man's vampire film, and I don't
think I can do much better than that perfect description so I'm not going to
even try.
Although I will admit that the film ranks as one of my top ten favorite
horror films, and it ranks as my all time favorite vampire/road/comedy.
Kathryn Bigelow directed the film based on a script written by Eric Red,
and the film originally had a very small theatrical run, but it got it's
second life through subsequent airi

Great packaging and extras for an OK flick! - 3 out of 5 (9/20/2002)
Don't believe the hype... This film is far from being an action packed gore fest as so many have claimed. I can't believe some people have had the gall to put it up there with the likes of "Dawn of the Dead" and "The Evil Dead" as far as violence and gore goes. It's simply not true.
Beyond that... Is it one of the best vamp flicks of all time? I don't think so.
First the bad! It's got it's share of major storyline flaws... And hey, as a horror fan I can forgive a lot, but some of these m
