Thirty-seven thousand years ago, a deadly secret was buried in a cave in Texas. Now the secret has been unleashed. And its discovery may mean the end of all humanity.

This is a great great have movie for X-Files fans with incredible DTS or Dolby 5.1 audio. This would make a great addition to any X-Files collection. Can't wait until for the prequel next year...

Finally an "anamorphic" feature! - 3.5 out of 5 (5/12/2001)
YES!! Another version of X-Files: the Movie, AND they have made the improvements that I specifically asked for in my comment on the first version! Better sound and they have thrown in the all important anamorphic option while they were at it.
This totally obsoletes the older version, so don't get them mixed up!

Incredibly enough, a disappointment. - 3.5 out of 5 (1/25/2001)
This was rather a big disappointment when it came out on the big screen. Somehow the acting did not translate well from the tv screen, which is strange since it has always been an appealing show. Anybody remotely interested should at first think about buying the boxed sets of the TV series which are simply wonderful.
