Empire Review The Care Bears Movie - 3.5 out of 5  (2/12/2003) The caring and sharing bears were legends of the eighties. The Care Bears got their start as a greeting card and made it to stardom. It wasn't long, the friendly bears of rainbow colors became a favorite and then a collectible. (I am guilty, I still have four Care Bears of my own with their little stamp button on their rear ends).
