In Order To Save A Life, She'll Have To Risk Her Own.
Jennifer Lopez (Out Of Sight, Selena) takes a terrifying journey into the mind of a killer in this chilling, critically acclaimed psychological thriller.
When a serial killer, Vincent D'Onofrio, (The Thirteenth Floor, Men In Black) falls into a coma before his last victim can be found, a child therapist (Lopez) must use an experimental treatment to enter his mind and learn his secrets before it is too late. The visually haunting world threatens her very existence when she becomes trapped by the terror inside.
Now, an FBI agent, Vince Vaughn (Swingers, Jurassic Park: The Lost World) must rescue her from the killer's nightmare mind before he too is lost to the twisted world forever.

Step inside the Cell! - 4.5 out of 5 (11/10/2000)
"The Cell" is a film that works on two levels: The first half of the film features the classic chase of a serial killer; the second is an eerie foray into his twisted mind. I never wanted to see this movie in the theater because I'm not a real big Jennifer Lopez fan, and this movie didn't do much in changing that opinion. She did a decent job, but still it seemed that she was sleepwalking through some of her scenes. (I know, I know, I just couldn't resist that one!)
Vincent D'Onofrio does a

a highly disturbing masterpiece - 4.25 out of 5 (10/23/2001)
The core of the film is centred upon Jennifer Lopez entering the dream world of the serial killer in a desperate attempt against time to discover the whereabouts of his last victim who is trapped in a water tank that will automatically fill in 40 hours.
What could be a nasty horror flick is transformed into a brave and innovative film as Tarsem Singh , the director, draws the viewer deeper and deeper into the nightmare world inside the mind of the killer. The film borrows heavily from classic s

If only it was good.... - 3.75 out of 5 (7/12/2001)
THis movie sounded sooo good, come on, it had Jennifer Lopez and the story sounded sweet. But when i saw it i took that comment back like that! The cinematography is great, but the story doesn't cut it. It is very sick and seems to keep pulling you deeper and deeper in the villians pshycotic mind. At the end of all this darkness you whant so badly to see something uplifting, but you don't really. If you like really dark depressing movies try this out..you'll love it!

Visually Stunning - 5 out of 5 (4/19/2001)
"The Cell" definitely is not a movie for everyone. You have to have a certain appreciation for movies, be able to lose yourself in visual effects, look deeper than the surface, and be able to handle some gore. If you are someone who can do all this then "The Cell" is most likely going to be a masterpiece in your eyes. If you aren't like that then you will probably see this movie as a boring, over-indulgent piece of garbage. Personally, I thought "The Cell" was one of the best movies of 2000.
