You either run the risk of offending the fans by changing too much about the character or you offend the teenage audience by refusing to bend and make it all ages accessible. "Black Scorpion" is the film that might have solved that tricky equation. The hero isn't based on any hero out there but is rather a hybrid of the best of them.
