Mr. Magoo - 4 out of 5 (7/8/2002)
Who is Mr. Magoo? Quincy Magoo was a crotchety yet loveable and implausibly nearsighted little bald cartoon character of the 60's who was constantly finding himself "unknowingly" evading tragic mishaps due to having a terrible lack of eyesight. It's Leslie Nielsen people! : ) - 3.75 out of 5 (11/8/1998)
This may be an "average" movie as one review above states ... but hell, I didn't expect it to be as funny as it was. Leslie Nielsen is perfect as our visually challenged friend, and it's a joy to watch him.
Alright, the DVD could have included more than just a trailer, but at least there *is* a trailer. I have bought many DVD's that didn't even bother with one (Fifth Element, Bad Boys etc.)
All in all, I give it a thumbs up! :)
Okay, so it's a no-brainer, but it's fun!

Good one for the kids, but puts me to sleep every time. - 3.25 out of 5 (8/27/1998)
OK, I've tried to watch this movie the whole way through time and time again, but the humor is so humorless that it puts me to sleep every time. The video transfer is excellent, but I wouldn't buy it for that. If you have kids that like this movie, that's who to get it for.
Or if you have a hard time getting to sleep, this movie is better than a sleeping pill.
