Black and Sweet - 4 out of 5 (11/22/2002)
First off, lemme preface this by saying that MGM is one of my favorite DVD companies around. The main reason being is that they own the rights to the AIP catalog, perhaps my favorite movie studio of all time (Laugh, laugh all you want. Keep on laughing. OK, stop laughing please.), and they're doing big time justice to it. Pam's Best - 3.5 out of 5 (2/23/2001)
If you're not familiar with the work of 70's blaxploitation star, Pam Grier, Coffy is a pretty good place to start. This 70's classic diplays all of Grier's trademark street-smarts and toughness - along with her beauty.
Here, Pam plays a nurse whose sister becomes the victim of drug-dealers. Seeking revenge, she works her way up the chain, handing out bloody justice to the criminals responsible. In the end, a betrayal demonstrates the fact that those who should uphold the law don't always do
