Serial killer submits his victims to the seven deadly sins - 5 out of 5 (4/28/2002)
All too rarely a film comes around that is intelligent, dark and grips you like a vise. Back in 1995 such a film was released, Seven (sometimes listed as Se7en). A crime drama like few others, Seven combines script, direction and acting in an amazing fashion. Morgan Freeman plays Detective William Somerset. Somerset is about to retire from the force in about a week when he catches a bizarre homicide and a new partner, Detective David Mills (Brad Pitt). An obese man is found dead, apparently forc

A powerful film! - 4.75 out of 5 (12/18/2000)
Seven" has always been one of those movies that people are divided into two camps about. There are those who love the film for the brilliant directorial piece that it is and there are those who hate it because of it's dark tone and the rapid cuts in the film. Any way you look at it, the film has earned it's place in history as the precursor to a new genre of thriller.
The film focuses on a week in the life of two New York detectives. Morgan Freeman plays Somerset, the older of the two partner

Fantastic Film with Brilliant Audio - 4.75 out of 5 (1/24/2005)
This DVD will especially shine if you run it thru a 6.1 or 7.1 channel surround system. The audio is so clear and very discrete. This film will truly envelope you into the scenes.

SE7EN IS BETTER THAN FIGHT CLUB - 5 out of 5 (3/29/2004)
David FIncher is such a stylish director. He wants to confuse the heck outta us.He likes to give suprises in the end of his films.I love this dvd.It has 2 discs. To me this is Pitts best performance.Fight Club is really really good(Which has a kickass 2 disc dvd),but he gave his best in this one.THe ending of this film aint nothing real special but Pitt gave one hell of a performance. His co-star Freeman is good, also I liked Kevin Spacey.Spacey won best supporting actor in his film Usual Suspects w

BEST THRILLER EVER! GREAT PICTURE! - 5 out of 5 (2/23/2004)
Se7en is the best Thriller of the last 20 years, even outdoing the great alssic, The Silence of the Lambs. Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwenyth Paltrow, and Kevin Spacey are great in this film. The murders are shown as afterword effects rather shown as being murdered. It's an incredibly gory movie that deserves not just a Saturday night rental, but it deserves the $25-$30 price tag.
