Join the action-packed adventure of a group of dinosaurs overcoming enormous challenges through courage, loyalty and hope in Disney's Dinosaur, a special effects phenomenon!
Set 65 million years ago, Dinosaur tells the compelling story of Aladar, an iguanodon who is separated from his own species and raised on an island paradise by a clan of lemurs, including the wisecracking Zini and the compassionate Plio. When a devastating meteor shower plunges their world into chaos, Aladar and his family follow a herd of dinosaurs heading for the safety of the "nesting grounds." Along the way, Aladar befriends Baylene, an elderly brachiosuar; Eema, an unstoppable styrachosaur; and Neera, a feisty fellow iguanodon. Together, they must stand strong amidst food and water shortages, the threat of carnotaur attacks, and Aladar's run-ins with the herd's stubborn leader, Kron.
A landmark in filmmaking technology, Dinosaur's theatrical quality is fully captured in this DVD, which features a digital-to-digital transfer that ensures the best possible picture and sound quality!

Great demo disc, mediocre film - 4.5 out of 5 (2/3/2003)
If you just spent lotsa $$$ on a new dvd player or HDTV, make this your 1st demo. Bug's Life and Monsters, Inc. are good, this is great! From the texture on the skin of the dinosaurs to the hair on the lemurs, the detail is amazing. Sounds great, too. The story was only OK, but after 1 or 2 viewings, who's interested in the plot anymore, anyway? I keep this disc next to my copy of Matrix (I don't watch that for the plot anymore, either). Fun.

This is a good family film with a happy ending. The dinosaur is raised by primates. They escape to the mainland where they discover other dinosaurs. They learn teamwork and friendship while overcoming adversity.

Well... - 4.25 out of 5 (10/11/2001)
I just bought this movie because its from Disney and I like the dinosaur stories, like The Land Before Time, and talking about this...
If you expect to see that kind of movie here, well, you won't find it, well sort of of... It's suppose to have the same plot, but the journey of the dinosaurs is so fast that you think the movie is more short than it is.
The only thing that make this movie stands out is the incredible visual and sound efects.
So if you like Disney movies and want
