Cher is Loretta, an "unlucky in love" Italian widow who finds romance through the intervention of the Manhattan moon. With her wedding to a close friend just weeks away, she meets--and falls hopelessly in love with--his younger brother (Cage)! Her dilemma--and her equally passionate and hilariously eccentric family--make for an unforgettable film.

Cher and Nick Cage are amazing! - 3.5 out of 5 (11/10/2003)
This is a great movie! It spits in the faces of all other romantic comedies that have come out since then. Eat your heart out J-Lo!

If MGM release again in widescreen format, I will buy another copy. - 3.75 out of 5 (7/15/1998)
I enjoy this movie. However, under no logical reason, MGM releases it in standard format that really make me disappointed. Why MGM did not print the DVD version of "Moonstruck" like its early AC3 LD version in letterbox format? If MGM release this movie again in widescreen format DVD version, I will buy another copy.

Great Movie, ruined by not using Widescreen format. - 3.75 out of 5 (7/14/1998)
This film should have won Best Picture over the highly over rated The Last Emperor. One of the best screen comedies, it is a shame that John Patrick Shanley has not been able to write another screenplay that comes close to this one. Cher, Olympia Dukakis, Danny Aiello and Nicolas Cage are all at their best. It is a shame that MGM chose not to do it in Widescreen.
