Great film, okay disc - 3.5 out of 5 (4/19/2001)
After I finished watching SLEEPERS, I almost had to take a shower. The film
left me with a mixed bag of emotions. I felt for the characters and I
understood what they went through, but I couldn't escape the fact that there
wasn't a moral high ground to be found anywhere in the film.
And that is what the critics said was wrong with the novel. I guess what I
really have to wonder about is why I'm trying so hard to find this high
ground, when all I should be concerned with is how much I li

Good Friendship Movie - 4.5 out of 5 (5/21/1999)
In the beginning of the movie, we get to experience the hardships that kids can go through and the corruptness that happens in a detention hall. This is a very strong and powerfully written movie. When the kids grow up, they are bent on getting revenge for what happened to them when they were young. Superb performences by some of the greatest actors that ever existed.
The DVD has stunning picture quality, good audio, but not too many features. It is forgivable considering the price.
