Doin the right thing - 5 out of 5 (3/6/2001)
I have started many a review wondering how Criterion chooses the films itmakes special editions of. The ironic part of this question is that Iusually have my answer mid-review because I look back and realize what asignificant part of history that certain film has become.

Spike Lee's best film to date. - 4.5 out of 5 (3/17/2005)
Spike Lee's best film to date, as well as one of the best films of the 1980s. The film succeeds on so many levels. The script, written by Lee himself contains some of the most rhythmic dialogue and memorable lines ever heard. Starring in the film as well, Mr. Lee gives and inspired performance that is very credible and natural. The rest of the cast's performances are exceedingly well and each one strikes an emotional nerve in one way or another.
