When it comes to horror movie icons of the 1980s, Freddy and Jason are the two that usually pop into people's heads. A strong third candidate, I would have to say is the Lead Cenobite aka "Pinhead" from the "Hellraiser" series. After all, he had an interesting, grotesque look, and method of killing that stood out from the crowd. Though he didn't have the wacky one-liners like Freddy, he certainly had more personality than Jason Vorhees. He is also the only movie monster to be a fan of The Who's

Over-hyped by fans, but deservedly so! - 4.5 out of 5 (8/19/2003)
Here's one of those great horror films that had film critics squirming in their seats with unease. The reviews were utterly awful. One very well-known critic asked, "What kind of person would go see a movie like this?" Well, I'm that kind of person as well as the huge cult following the film has, that's who Mr. Critic! Why? Good Movie!! - 4.5 out of 5 (4/30/2003)
A good movie but some of the special effects are pretty weak, but hey, it was 15 years ago. A good plot though. Lots of blood/gore. Acting is decent. I would have like to see more scenes with pinhead and his cenobites but I guess that's what the sequels are for! If you haven't seen it, go rent it, if you are a fan and considering buying it, go buy it, the audio/video quality and special features are worth it.
