Something funny isihappeningiin L.A.
Steve Martin is Harris Telemacher, a wacky television weatherman, who thinks his life is perfect, except for an erratic relationship with a style-conscious girlfriend. Then, one bright and smoggy L.A. day, an electronic freeway sign changes his life, when its advice leads him into a frivolous romance with a young and beautiful blonde and, ultimately, to true love with the woman of his dreams. Set against the magic of Los Angeles, it's "like" the most hilariously romantic story you'll ever experience.

LA Charm - 3.25 out of 5 (3/15/2004)
this movie proves Steve Martin as The Woody Allen of west coast, he is funny, witty and is all about love and thing that can go wrong in a mans life, and the odd ways to seek advice for those problems.

intellectual comedy... - 3.25 out of 5 (3/15/2004)
i simply find this movie funny. if you enjoy abstract aproaches to telling a story, this one is a must see. steve martin is at his best when he is relaxed in a movie. (altenate example- Parenthood). LA story provides a unique medium for a classic love story.

59 degrees Wacky Weatherman Harris Telemacher ! - 3.5 out of 5 (9/2/1999)
Somehow I found this movie amusing. Its a story about Steve Martin who talks to a road sign after his car breaks down on the L.A freeway, and meets Sara McDowell a reporter he falls in love with. The bad thing about this DVD (not the movie) was the subtitles were only in Spanish and the transfer seemed a little less than perfect. But hey you gotta love Victoria Tennent to make up for all of this, I mean hey she wants a walk in L.A.
