Empire Review One of the masters best! - 4.75 out of 5  (9/20/2000) "The Dead Zone" is a perfect example of what can result when Stephen King is done right! Over the years, his films have been hit or miss. They range from the fantastic (Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me) to the incredibly awful (Maximum Overdrive, Sleepwalkers.) It took me a long time to figure out what the difference really was, but after seeing "Pet Semetary" and the "Dead Zone" in one sitting, I decided that it was the human factor. I really enjoyed it. The picture quality was fantastic and the sound was great too. My only complaint are the lack of features and the high price. Paramount needs to start reducing the prices on their DVDs or provide more features.   more >>
