Customer Review For aficionados of subtle dialogues offering homeopathic insights into human relationships - 2.75 out of 5  (11/3/2000) Similarily to Woody Allen, Eric Rohmer greets his audience on a regular basis with his maturing impressions and obsessions. His movies appeal like French wine: some might get eagerily back to 43 degrees, some may like it after all and some would get into sampling sessions to work out color, fragrance and flavor...Daniel Staebler who has commented the major works available on DVD, seems to be one of the aficionados. This director is one of the world major directors of the last 40 years, a child of the Nouvelle Vague. CLAIRE'S KNEE is the fifth of the moral tales serie, shot directly after the masterpiece MY NIGHT AT MAUD'S.
