They've got the weapons. They've got the posses. And they've got no chance against former Hong Kong cop Han Sing. Gravity-warping martial arts, cool visual effects and an all-star music track combine in this revved-up action movie from producer Joel Silver (The Matrix) and starring Jet Li (Lethal Weapon 4) in his first English-language lead role. Li plays rough-and-ready Han, who shares an attraction with Trish O'Day (screen-debuting songstress Aaliyah) even though their families are rivals in a fierce Oakland turf battle. The two also share plenty of danger as they try to find the real cause of the blood feud. No gun, no posse? No problem. With Jet Li going to war as only he can, Romeo Must Die is alive and kicking.

Romeo Wherefort were they? - 5 out of 5 (8/1/2000)
"Romeo Must Die" was another one of those pleasant little surprises I keep rambling on about. I had barely even heard of the film originally and here it turns out to be a superior action film as well as a fantastic disc from Warner Brothers!
One of the reasons that I had never wanted to see the film was because there has been a glut of Jet Li flicks on the market lately. This shouldn't have bothered me but it reminded me of the Jackie Chan phenomenon that happened a few years ago. If you don

Jet Li is outstanding. - 4.25 out of 5 (10/24/2002)
Jet Li absolutely whoops butt in this film. However, after watching this film I awaited the highly anticipated . Unfortunately, it was a huge dissapointment on the acting side, although the fight scenes were exceptional.

JET LI KICKS A$$!!! - 5 out of 5 (6/30/2001)
This movie is really tight. It has some great fighting scenes. The special effects were great, but over used at times. Aaliyah did a nice job on her first movie. The soundtrack was off the hook. If you like action, this if for you.
