Empire Review Romeo Wherefort were they? - 5 out of 5  (8/1/2000) "Romeo Must Die" was another one of those pleasant little surprises I keep rambling on about. I had barely even heard of the film originally and here it turns out to be a superior action film as well as a fantastic disc from Warner Brothers! One of the reasons that I had never wanted to see the film was because there has been a glut of Jet Li flicks on the market lately. This shouldn't have bothered me but it reminded me of the Jackie Chan phenomenon that happened a few years ago.
