On the verge of signing a huge business deal, attorney Jack Moore is on top of the world. But his elation soon comes tumbling down after he spends the night with a beautiful woman...and is then accused of her brutal murder! At the mercy of the strict Chinese court system--where one is guilty until proven innocent--Jack finds himself completely alone. But when his defense attorney unearths puzzling contradictions in the case, she acts against the court and her country, joining him in a pulse-pounding race to find the true killer...while both of their lives hang in the balance!

I was recently in Beijing... looked realistic - 4 out of 5 (6/16/1998)
Beautiful movie and characters... personally...
I was hoping Richard Gere and his lawyer would have
fallen in love... oh well. Suspenseful, with
good action scenes... I really enjoyed this movie.
Does it reflect true Chinese justice? I couldn't
say.

An impressive DVD. - 4.25 out of 5 (6/7/1998)
Red Corner, a very underrated movie, comes of as an impressive DVD movie. The sound and video are flawless, particularly during the foot chase sequence, and the court room scens are even more intense than on video. Highly reccommended.
