"A Delightful andiDelicate Comic Fable." -Variety
Once upon a time in a castle high on a hill lived an inventor who's greatest creation was named Edward. Although Edward had an irresistible charm, he wasn't quite perfect. The inventor's sudden death left him unfinished, with sharp shears of metal for hands. Edward lived alone in the darkness until one day a kind Avon lady took him home to live with her family. So began Edward's fantastical adventures in a pastel paradise known as Suburbia.
From Tim Burton comes an unforgettable fairy tale starring Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest and Vincent Price as the Inventor.

A fitting tribute - 5 out of 5 (8/1/2000)
A few weeks ago, I was talking with some other people who work in this same medium and as a lark, we decided to put down our list for our five most favorite films that we would like to see on DVD.
On these five lists, it was ironic that only two films occurred on all of them. The first was the "Princess Bride" and we got that just last week in a unsatisfactory version (Which was cheap and will do until they get it right!) and the second film was "Edward Scissorhands."
The film is a mas

Maybe the best DVD title I've seen so far - 5 out of 5 (3/16/2001)
The movie itself is just great and Elfman's music is awesome once again. Picture and audio quality are perfect and there's lots of nice extras also, two commentary tracks and so on. You should definitely check this one out!

Something special - 5 out of 5 (12/23/2000)
The passage of time can be unkind to film. Many outright classics attract critical comment that they are less effective and less relevant than the era in which they were released. It has been said that "Casablanca" means less to a world not embroiled in global conflict, and that "The Graduate" no longer finds a generation receptive and sympathetic to its throwback hero (I disagree violently, but hey... that's another show). "Edward Scissorhands" exists both thematically and technically outside o
