I rented this movie and it wasn't that bad. It was bettwer than your average monster flick. you should see it the features sucked though. They should come out with a Dimension collecter's series of this movie!

Not that great - 2.75 out of 5 (7/11/1999)
I bought Mimic on the hope on a none-B film, but it lies within that area. The plot is pretty cool, and the effects are quite good, but the acting really doesn't pull it off. Have a look anyway if you like this type (which I do), but you may want to re-sell it later.

A good tense movie - 4 out of 5 (5/14/1999)
This is one of the better horror movies. It relies on scariness rather than pointless comedy. There are also a lot of suprises and there are points of this movie that will make you jump. The setting of the movie also gives the viewer a good feeling of claustraphobia. The only problem is the characters, we end up not caring what happens to them because they were written badly. A good film overall.
What really shines here is the 5.1 audio, it really gives your system a workout with good dyn
